A Case Study--The Gaenslen School in Milwaukee

Faced with the challenge of replacing a Milwaukee (Wisconsin) school for the physically handicapped, a new facility was designed to accommodate a substantial number of exceptional and regular students in grades pre-K-8. Information is provided on design decisions for regular classroom space as well as specialized areas in order to accommodate a variety of special student needs and special programs not found normally in elementary schools
