This report examines the community-school relationship in a rural school facilities improvement project in Waitsburg, Washington. It offers a brief overview describing the school district followed by an in-depth review of the Waitsburg community's role in their facilities improvement project, a project that included the complete renovation and restoration of a historic school building serving as a junior high facility and the remodeling and new construction to upgrade the elementary school building.
