Outlines six basic reforms that higher education institutions should enact in order to save energy. These are: 1) Upgrade to energy-efficient appliances and building systems. 2) Build high performance new buildings. 3) Buy or generate electricity from renewable resources. 4) Expand transportation alternatives to reduce fuel consumption. 5) Buy products that use less energy, last longer, and are better for the environment. 6) Create a culture of conservation on campus.
