The consensus of these 26 participants can be summarized as follows: 1) environmental education is not just a passing fad; 2) facilities facilitate learning; 3) the methodology of environmental education is best centered around an interdisciplinary approach; 4) major capital expenditures are not necessary for schools to mount effective programs in environmental education.
