Examines the roles of the building principals assigned to the schools, their perceptions of the building design and construction process, and how their respective roles in the process are manifested in ownership of their schools. The focus of the study was two schools designed by the same architectural firm and constructed at the same time by the same general contractor. The results suggest a relationship between a principal's involvement in the school design process and resultant ownership.
