Winter 2008 School Design Institute.

Web Abstract:
Reflects the comments and recommendations related to specific facility projects presented by two school districts: Seminole County Public Schools (Florida), and Wichita Unified School District 259 (Kansas). The superintendent and two representatives from the district were invited to participate in a design charrette with four national experts specializing in the field of K 12 design and education. The process involved districts in a discussion about the benefits of good design and planning so that they could lead their districts in supporting innovative solutions. The report chronicles each school district's submission with a project description, demographic information about the community and the school district, a list of the recommendations resulting from the design charrette, and biographies for all participants.
